The night was very calm, the sky was full of bright stars. Riya was thinking alone under the old mango tree at the end of the village. Silence all around, only the occasional gentle rustling of the wind. Riya was thinking to herself, how life has changed. How many joys and sorrows have come here today.
Riya is the calmest girl in the village. Always immersed in books. But one day Ayan came into his life. A city boy, arrived in this small village to study. Ian was completely different, very cheerful, always trying to make people around him happy.
Riya first looked at Ayan and understood that this man is different. Ayan's easy-going nature, the way he spoke, everything had a strange charm. Slowly Riya and Ayan started coming closer to each other. Ayaan always wanted to spend time with Riya, listen to her little stories.
The days were going well. But suddenly one day Riya's parents told her that they have fixed Riya's marriage. Rhea tried hard, cried a lot, but no one listened to her. His parents were firm in their decision.
Riya asked Ayan to meet him that night. They met by the river near the village. Moonlight was reflected in the water of the river. Both of them sat silently. Finally Riya said, "My marriage is fixed."
Ian was silent for a moment, then smiled softly, "I know, you won't come to me. I won't tell you anything, but you know I love you."
Riya cried. "I love you too Ian, but I can't help thinking about my family. I don't want to break them up."
Ian held Rhea's hand and said, "Where you are, I will be. If you are not mine, no one will be."
After a few days Riya got married. She went to her husband's house, and Ian went to the city. Days passed, months passed and years passed. But there was never any communication between Ayaan and Rhea. But Riya knew that Ayan had not forgotten her.
One day suddenly Riya came and stood under the old mango tree of the village. Everything around is as before, except for the ion. Those old memories woke up in his mind again.
In the darkness of the night Riya felt someone around her. Suddenly heard, "Ria, you came?"
Riya looked around startled, but saw no one. The voice is very familiar. A strange feeling spread throughout the heart.
"Ian, you?" Riya calls out.
"Yes, I am. I said, wherever you are, I will be with you."
Riya's eyes got wet. "But you left?"
"I never left. I was always around you, you just didn't see it."
Riya realized that Ayan's love never ended. He was always with Rhea, even when she wasn't around.
Rhea said again, "Where are you, Ian?"
"I am here, Rhea. Deep in your heart, in your every breath. I have never left you, never will. As long as you are there, I am there."
Riya realized that the love between Ayaan and her was so deep that it would never end. At that moment, Riya felt that Ayan was around her. Maybe she can't see him, but she can feel his presence.
Hearing Ayaan's words, Riya got peace. Understand, love is never lost. It's always there, maybe in some other form, some other way.
At the last hour of the night, Riya slowly stood up. The old mango tree was once again alone, but Riya felt a strange calm. She knew Ayaan was always with her, as she said.
Riya returned home, but in her mind a new power, a new feeling. She knows, in every moment of life, in every breath, Ayaan is with her. And this love, this feeling will never be lost.
Riya never felt alone after that night. Ayaan's love has always accompanied her, every step of the way.
Their love is undying, never lost in the midst of anything, but deepened with time.
