**Daughter**

The morning was quite sweet.
The sky is blue, light clouds. The touch of the wind was gentle and soothing. On such a day, a daughter was sitting in a small mud house in a corner of the village. Her name was Meena. He was only sixteen years old and had a hundred dreams in his eyes. Sitting on the pond in front of the house, he was drawing pictures of his thoughts with his finger on the soft soil. The golden sun was shining on the water of the pond, and Meena was looking at her reflection in it and wondering—when will her life be so colorful too.

Meena's parents both loved her very much. Father was a simple farmer of the village, mother handled the housework. They taught Meena from a young age that life is precious. Girls should not just stop at housework, they should also study and stand on their own feet. Meena's mother used to tell her, "Girls' path in this world is thorny, but if you are strong you can overcome all obstacles."

Meena dreamed of becoming a doctor. He wanted to serve the people of the village, to keep everyone healthy and well. But fulfilling this dream was not so easy. Higher education for girls was not easily available in the village, and there were problems like child marriage.

One morning, when Meena was buried in a book, her mother suddenly entered the room. The expression of concern was evident on his face. Meena asked, "Mom, what happened?"

He is thinking of marrying you off."

Meena's chest suddenly swelled. His dream is breaking! Married at such a young age! His parents always told him to be independent, but now why these words?

Ma saw Meena's expression and said, "Why are you afraid? I know what you want, but our society is very strict. Everyone talks a lot about girls."

Meena remained silent for a while. Then she said, "Mom, I want to study, I want to grow up. I don't want to get married now."

Mother sighed, "I want that too, but your father is thinking about the people in the village. If girls don't get married, there is a lot of talk."

Meena didn't say anything, but a strong determination was born in her mind. He will go after his dreams, stop at nothing.

Meena was not feeling well for the next few days. He was busy thinking all day. Her mother could sense that Meena was about to make a decision. One night, after Baba sat down to eat, Meena suddenly went and stood in front of Baba.

"Dad, I want to talk to you," Meena said.

Dad looked surprised, "What happened Meena?"

Meena said in a firm voice, "Dad, I don't want to get married now. I want to finish my studies and stand on my own feet. I want to become a doctor, I want to help the people of the village."

Dad was silent for a while. Then he said, "But will society allow you to do that?"

Meena looked straight at her father and said, "Is society always right? I am your daughter, don't you want me to do something when I grow up?"

Dad sighed. After a moment of silence he said, "You are right. But the village is a very difficult place. I don't know how I can protect you."

Meena held Dad's hand and said, "I will fight my own battle, Dad. I just want your support."

Baba looked into Meena's eyes for a while. Then he nodded slowly and said, "Okay, Meena. Do what you want. Your mother and I will always support you."

After hearing these words, Meena felt an infinite power in her mind. He knew there would be many obstacles ahead of him, but he would overcome them all.

After that, Meena started studying with more attention. The harsh words of the society, the prying eyes of the neighbors - nothing could stop him. He had only one aim—to become a doctor, to serve the village. He did well in the exams, and one day he really came back as a doctor.

When Meena stepped in as the village's first woman doctor, the villagers looked on in surprise. Everyone once despised him, today they admired him. Meena's parents shed tears of pride to see her. They knew, their daughter really brightened their faces.

Meena taught only one lesson in her life story — if girls believe in themselves, no obstacle can stop them. They also have the ability to prove that they are not limited to the four walls of the house. Virgos know how to dream, and they are capable of making those dreams come true.
